


The Sainsbury’s JungleCard is a concept system (PSS) that aims to reduce obesity in the next 5 years. An investigation into UK healthcare, past & present, enables us to gauge the ‘rate of change’ occurring in technology & patient requirements, enabling an educated prediction of what will challenge design in the future.
My research highlighted the increase in obesity throughout Britain in the future; unless strict dietary action was taken. The aim of JUnglecard is to encourage children and their families to make better choices about what they eat to prevent health problems. Handing more responsibility to children will encourage them to take control of their own health. Providing children with an incentive to make healthier food choices they will ‘pester’ parents to buy healthier products. The scheme will encourage food producers to re-assess the ingredients in their products to obtain rating.
